We all hope Erin will return to the comic, and as heart-felt as this monumental waste of your time probably was, I think Erin will return to the comic when she
has time to draw it. Drawing Venus Envy is a hobby for Erin. It is also a labor of love. It is not something she gets paid for and from what I understand
she has other real-life issues to contend with right now.
Not that she would deign to explain these things to me. I am merely a writer, a form a much lower form of life than the web-comic artist, although the medium of text is usually just as profitable. (This is enshrined in our language. A person gets to be a starving artist. The equivalent adjective for the writer is "struggling." Why aren't unsuccessful writers starving? I don't know. Maybe they steel the artists' food.) But your desire for a new comic will be fulfilled in the fullness of time, if you have faith and patience. Maybe it will never be fulfilled, but I don't think she usually reads the begging on the forum that exists to discuss her. |

She has had far far longer breaks in the past ... a month per comic isn't something that we haven't gotten used to really ...

I know, but I saw the monkey picture and couldn't help myself. And had a lot of free time and thought it might amuse someone.

Well, it made me smile, for what that's worth.
